Catering and provisioning

One of the most important parts of cruising preparation is planning THE FOOD!!! Cumberland vessels do not have food included in the cruising cost. However we can offer you a first class provisioning service that is either a package (per person per day) or a self-select option where you choose your own food and quantities.

Do you think that you will remember the tomato sauce, the glad wrap, the salt and pepper? It's YOUR holiday so why bother with the fuss of organising how much food you want and where to get it from? Cumberland will be pleased to arrange to have your food and beverages delivered to your vessel. The ingredients supplied are of the highest quality and no charterer has ever complained of going hungry!!

A starter pack can be purchased which will see your vessel stocked with little things you may have forgotten. For $37 you will receive salt and pepper, 4 cakes of personal soap, plastic wrap, aluminium foil, tissues, serviettes, paper towel, garbage bags, and rubber gloves. A starter pack is AUTOMATICALLY INCLUDED in the package provisioning.

HOWEVER if you prefer to order specific provisions but don't wish to do your own leg work a Self-Select list has been prepared for your convenience. You order online and unit prices are given when ordering and full costs when you complete your order.

If you use the self select option the starter pack is an optional extra. For charters of more than seven days we recommend breaking the order into two sections. This will allow reprovisioning to ensure freshness of perishable items. Items can be added to your self select reprovision if 24 hours notice is given.

DON'T FORGET the liquor and soft drinks. A beverage order form is on the provisioning page and all tastes are catered for.

Package provisioning stocks your boat with food - just like you've gone and done the shopping and are ready to make your meals up. The meals are not pre-prepared. There are two types of package provisioning - Partial and Full.
Full provisioning gives you three full meals a day as well as morning tea and afternoon nibbles.
Partial provisioning supplies you with all breakfasts, lunches, snacks and morning and afternoon tea but ONLY TWO IN THREE dinners. If you intend to dine at resorts or catch fish then Partial Provisioning is the way to go.
If you order for 5 nights you will receive 3 dinners.
Order for 7 nights and you will receive 4 dinners.
Order for 10 nights and you will receive 6 dinners.

With package provisioning there is Platinum, Gold or Silver available.
The Platinum Package is a must for those who appreciate the finer things in life.
Gold Package - is Traditional Provisioning - everything you need, nothing forgotten.
Silver is based on Gold Provisioning and adapted to meet the requirements of a young family.
Children (between 2 and 8 years old) are also catered for in the Kids Package.
For older children we suggest using the Self Select option if any of the packages don't suit.

A Self Select option is also available.

Beverages - are of course an important part of any holidays (especially in the tropics with the dehydration factor!). A wide range including select Premium Wines are available to suit all tastes.

Indulge yourself and order pre-prepared platters.

You can upgrade full provisioning with ready made platters or substitute some meals for others.
